Mission
The mission of the SCDC is to be a political that advocates for positive change in our Brooklyn communities, by continuing Shirley Chisholm’s legacy of engaging in the political process and community service. We will advocate on critical issues and legislation such as education, immigration, healthcare, housing & tenants rights, and economic development in order to elevate the standard of living for all residents of Brooklyn.
History
The Shirley Chisholm Democratic Club (SCDC) of Brooklyn was founded on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2011.
